Ruwaida al-Mahrouqi was born on 8 June 1975 in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. She is an artiste who began at the age of six to play the piano. Ruwaida studied audiovisual and theater directing at American University of Lebanon. She released her first album in 2002 titled Akher Hob. She came to be more popular after the album she released in 2008 titled Mohri Ghali.
