Born on 1 September 1980 in Southend-on-Sea, Essex, Lara Pulver is an English actress who is well known for her role as Erin Watts in the popular BBC spy drama Spooks. She's from a Jewish family and between 1994 and 1998, she attended the National Youth Music Theatre and also The Liz Burville Dance Centre, Bexley. She didn't just stop there but went ahead to study the Doreen Bird College of Performing Arts where she graduated in 2000.

Lara won the 2016 Olivier Award for Best Supporting Actress in a Musical in the West End's revival of the hit Broadway musical Gypsy. She got married to Josh Dallas, an American actor in 2007, whom she met while studying acting at the Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts and they divorced in 2011, then in 2014 she tied the knot with Raza Jaffrey.
